Ten Good Reasons Why Women Should Stay Away From Weights
1. You might break a nail.
2. You could even bruise a male ego or two.
3. You’ll eat properly and still be able to lose fat. Work of the devil!
4. You’ll look more like an athlete and less like a runway model. Skeletal is sexy, right?
5. You’ll be able to lift heavy things without asking a man for help, thus upsetting the balance of the universe.
6. You will be seen in public without high heels.
7. You’ll grunt, sweat and feel sore. So unladylike!
8. You’ll be proud of your pert bum instead of being self conscious about it like a normal woman.
9. You’ll be more active and confident instead of sitting around looking pretty. What are you, some kind of feminist?
10. You’ll be stronger, leaner and sexier – and we all know where that can lead!
I have definitely bruised some male egos… whoops. Sorry guys haha.
On Friday, I think some of the guys in my PE class were offended that I was in the weights section…

Food Intake 5/21
- 9am: 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup cooked spinach, 1 large tomato
- 11am: 1 small fuji apple, 1 tbsp almond butter mixed with 1/2 scoop of sunwarrior vanilla protein to dip the apple in
- 1pm: 2-3 cups uncooked spinach (about 1/4 cup when cooked! lol), a few peppers, 1/4 cup peas, 2 oz of grilled chicken, 1 tbsp of pure balsamic vinegar, 1 tbsp of nutritional yeast (LOVE this stuff!!!!), 1 tbsp of pumpkin seeds
- 2pm: 1 large ruby red grapefruit, 1 no-sodium rice cake
- 4pm: 1 cup of cooked string beans with 1 tbsp of nutritional yeast, 2 small "turkey and mushroom meatballs" (all they contain is lean, white turkey breast meat (ground up), chopped up mushrooms, and some onions and parsley! so tasty and simple to make)
- And now I'm about to go weight training : )
- Going to make PROTEIN PANCAKES for my post-workout snack later! (protein powder + egg whites + banana = "pancake" batter! top it with SOME *moderation* almond butter for a delicious and healthy snack!)
The 2012 Colour Run is currently touring through 20 U.S. cities. The only requirement is wearing a white shirt. Throughout the run, participants are doused in bright pigments (cornstarch that is 100% natural and safe). Each kilometer is focused on a specific color – 1k is yellow, 2k is blue, 3k is green, 4k is pink, and the 5k finish is a “Colour Extravaganza” where a rainbow of hues are thrown.
